MILITARY SPECIFICATION
EDGESEAL MATERIALS, CHEMICAL-BIOLOGICAL FILTER
This specification is approved for use by US Army
Armament Research and Development Command, Department
of the Army, and is available for use by all Departments
and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
SCOPE
1.
1.1 Scope. This specification covers two types of heat-fusing material for
edgesealing fibrous components of protective equipment.
1.2 Classification. Edgeseal material shall be one of the following types
as specified (see 6.2).
Type I
- For filter element sets in M17, M17A1 and M17A2 chemical-
biological masks.
Type II
- For filter panels in M2 infant protector.
