4.3.2 Temperature.
Tests shall be conducted at room temperature (70 to
90F), measured within 12 inches of the test sample.
4.3.3
Instrument accuracy.
Flowmeters and gauges shall be accurate within
1.5 percent.  They shall be calibrated to determine accuracy.
4.3.4
Filter elements shall be immersed in fuel for a period

of 72 hours at a fluid temperature of 135F.  All internal parts shall be in
contact with the test fluid during this period.  The elements shall remain in
this fluid at room temperature until further tests are conducted.
Prior to
testing in oil, the elements shall be thoroughly air-dried for a minimum of 24
hours.
4.4 First article inspection.
Four sample elements shall be subjected to
the examinations and tests as specified in table II.

4.4.1 First article inspection report.  The contractor shall prepare
a first article inspection report in accordance with the data ordering document
included in the contract or order (see 6.2.2).
