3.2.5 Collar assembly. The collar assembly shall move through its
full range of travel on the feeder shaft without binding to engage or
disengage the feeder gear or the stop plate as evidenced by feeder op-
eration.
3.2.6 Feeder gear assembly. The feeder gear assembly shall be
retained securely on the feeder shaft by the lock nut. The anti-backlash
arms shall be retained on the feeder gear and stops by the spring pins.
The anti-backlash arms and stops shall function through their full range
of travel under spring action without binding and shall be held normally
and returned to the extended position by spring actions. The feeder gear
assembly shall rotate without binding with the feeder in the declutched
position.
3.2.7 Feeder shaft spring. The feeder shaft spring shall be fastened
securely to the feeder spring plate by the screw and self locking nut.
The feeder shaft spring shall hold the round against the feeder strippers
when the feeder is operated.
3.2.8 Guides, strippers, and retainers. Guides, strippers, and
retainers shall be fastened securely to the housing. There shall be no
relative movement of these parts and they shall perform their respective
guiding, stripping, and retaining functions When the feeder is operated.
3.2.9 Lever shaft. The lever shaft shall be retained on the clevis
by the spring pin and shall move through its full range of travel under
spring action without binding.
3.2.10 Traveling ring. The traveling ring shall rotate on the trav-
eling ring cam without binding.
3.2.11 Traveling ring cam.  The traveling ring cam shall rotate on
the feeder shaft without binding.
3.2.12 Timing pin. The timing pin shall engage the timing
hole in the drive gear to correctly position the feeder gear for mounting
the feeder on a properly timed gun. The timing pin shall move through
its full range of travel without binding arid shall be returned and held
in the retracted position by action of the spring.
3.2.13 Connector. The connector shall be fastened securely to the
connector bracket by the screws and nuts so that there shall be no relative
movement.  The insulation sleeves shall be securely retained in the
connector.
3.2.14 Clamps. The clamps shall be fastened securely to the feeder
housing by the screws and the clamps shall secure the sleeved wires from
the switches to the connector so that there shall be no relative movement.
