3.4.2.2 Energy storage capability, The MIG shall have the capability to
store a minimum of 22 volts on the 1.5 MFD firing capacitor of the Base
Assembly (11830052), within 20 milliseconds at ambient temperature.
3.4.2.3 Helicopter vibration. The MIG shall function as specified in
3.4.2.2 after subjection to t he Helicopter Vibration Test in accordance with
Appendix A.
3.5 Potted base assembly.
Dwg 9259250 (Type I) or 11830052 (Type II)
3.5.1 Function. The electronic circuit shall function when a voltage of
18 to 32 VDC is applied to the input terminal of the assembly. The device
shall meet this requirement at any temperature between minus 40 and plus 160
degrees F.
3.5.2 Non-function. The electronic circut shall not function when a
voltage of 8.0 .5 VDC is applied to the input terminal. The device shall
meet this requirement at any temperature between minus 40 and plus 160 degrees
F.
3.5.3 Continuity test. The resistance measured between the green and
black wires shall be 100 10 ohms.
The Capacitor, when
3.5.4 Capacitor discharge test (Type II only).
charged to 22 volts, shall not discharge to less than 15 volts within 30
seconds at any temperature from -400 to +160F.
3.6 Impact switch. Dwg. 11714370. The Impact Switch shall meet all the
requirements of the Specification Control Drawing Part No. 11714370-2 with the
exception of 3.1.3.
3.7 M84 electric detonator. The pin and plug assembly of the M84 elec-
tric detonator shall be of the glass bonded type, and shall meet all the
requirements of MIL-D-45495 except no marking shall appear on the detonator.
The sealant used on the plug end of the detonator shall not extend more than
0.030 inch up the pin from the glass seal.
Dwg 9259237 (Type I) or 11830059 (Type II)
3.8 Sub-assembly.
3.8.1 Non-arm. The fuze sub-assembly shall not release the power supply
striker (Type I) the Release Pin (Type II) nor shall the detonator rotate
into line with the explosive train when subjected to an acceleration of 12.0
0.5 g's for a minimum of five (5) seconds.
3.8.2 Arming time. The rotor assembly of the S&A shall rotate from the
fully safe position to the fully armed position and detent in not less than
1.03 seconds or more than 1.35 seconds when subjected to an arming accelera-
tion of 40.0 .5 g's.
