4. 8.1.3.3 Test setup.
4.8.1 .3.3.1 FCC-FTS. The test setup of the FCC-FTS during the
humidity cycle shall be such as to simulate actual usage insofar as
ractical. The FCC-FTS undergoing test shall be placed in the test
e - chamber as depicted in Figure 7* Plugs, coversp and inspection
plates not used in operation, but used in servicing shall remain in
place. When mechanical or electrical connections are not used, the
connections normally protected in service shall be adequately
covered. For tests where temperature values are controlled~ the
test chamber shall be at standard ambient condition? when the test
item is installed. The FCC-FTS shall be oriented within the chamber
so that water condensation will not form and collect at any one
localized spot.
4. 0.1.3.4 Methods of inspe ction for humidity tests.
4. 8.1.3.4.1 Test Performance. The chamber conditions for the
various steps of the humidity test shall be attained in continuous,
uninterrupted cycles~ and at the rate of change indicated. Thermal
and humidity shock shall be avoided at all times and the FCC-FTS
under test shall have previously been subjected to the extrae
temperatures (-62 and +850C) of the temperature-altitude tests
defined in paragraph 4.5.2.1.2 of this procedure.
