4,7 Rejection and Retest - The Film-Tape which has been rejected may
be reworked to correct the defects, and resubmitted for acceptance.
Before
resubmitting, full particulars concerning previous rejection and the action
taken to correct the defects found in the original shall be furnished the
inspector,
Film-Tapes rejected after retest shall not be resubmitted
without specific approval of the procuring activity.
4.8 Auxiliary Equipment - Auxiliary equipment required for verification of
compliance to this. specification includes the following specific items or
equal:
A tape transport assembly functionally equal to that of the Selector
a.
Test Programmer, SA- 1447 D/APG-59 capable of handling BIT
and FIM Film-Tapes, and having an aperture plate over AISI 304
stainless steel, No. 4 standard polish, a maximum roughness of
3 RMS, and flat to 10/1000 concave referenced to the Film-Tape
side of the plate.
Base Light Density Test Fixture - This device shall be as described
b.
in Figure 5 or equivalent, and shall be used in determining com-
I
pliance with paragraph 3. 4.4 of this specification.
4.9 Design Data and Material - The following design data and extra
material shall be supplied with this preproduction Film-Tape for test:
4. 9.1 Design Data - Whenever it is available, the contractor shall furnish
data prepared in the normal performance of the contract in lieu of the
following data:
a.
Three copies of a practical wiring diagram of each peculiar test
assembly or of each constructional unit thereof, whichever is
practicable,  showing the physical location and connections of
detail parts and subassemblies, with reference symbols and
terminal numbers indicated.
b.
Three copies of a complete cabling diagram of the complete
peculiar test equipment.
Three copies of outline dimensional sketches of all production
c.
copy Film -Tapes specified in the contract purchase order and
of any detail external parts, showing projections.
