3.4 Preproduction sample. - Preproduction samples shall be given
qualification test prior to regular production to demonstrate the adequacy
and suitability of the contractor's processes and procedures in
achieving the performance that is inherent in the design. (See 6.2)
3.5 Electrical.
3.5.1 Continuity. - The STG shall demonstrate continuity in
accordance with all the wiring requirements as cited on the drawings and
wiring list constituting part of the Technical Data Package.
3.6 Performance. - The performance requirement as specified herein shall
be met on every assembly at standard ambient-conditions prior to Government
acceptance.
3.6.1 Power requirements. - The STG console shall normally operate
from a 28.0 VDC power source. through an on/off relay network. The
STG console shall be capable of operating between 24.0 and 30.0
VDC with a visual indicator for under 24.0 VDC.
3.6.1.1 Digital output. - The "O" or false-output level shall be be-
tween 0.00 and 0.40 Vdc. The "1" or true output level shall be between
+2.40 and 5.00 Vdc.
3.6.2 STG/VADS Input interface indicators.- The STG console shall
provide a means of monitoring the following VADS indicators:
a.
Radar Mode
b.
Manual Mode
c.
Radiate
d.
ATD (Acquisition Time Delay)
e.
Ready to Fire (RFT)
f.
F1/F2
3.6.2.1 Firing.- The STG shall provide an indicator for VADS FIRING
A split lighted push button switch shall be used to indicate firing for two
cannon bursts.
3.6.3 STG/VADS output Interface.
3.6.3.1 Radar Ready.- The STG console shall provide a 28 Vdc radar ready
signal to the VADS.
3.6.3.2 + 10 VDC Reference.- The STG console shall provide a +10 Vdc
reference voltage to the VADS.
3.6.3.3 -10 Vdc Reference. - STG console shall provide a -10 Vdc
reference voltage to VADS.
3.6.3.4 +20 VDC Reference.- The STG console shall provide a +20 Vdc
Reference voltage to VADS.
