6.3.5 Temperature. The temperature of the environment to which the
gyro-pendulum may be exposed, expressed in degrees Fahrenheit (F).
6.3.6 Pressure. The pressure of the environment to which the gyro-
pendulum may be exposed, expressed in pounds per square inch absolute
6.3.7 Humidity. The relative humidity of the environment to which the
gyro-pendulum is exposed, expressed as a percent.
6.3.8 Linearity ( independent based
The maximum allowable deviation
of the output voltage versus input acceleration or rate curve from the
best straight reference line.
6.3.9 Resolution. The smallest change in input acceleration or rate
that is required to produce an incremental change in output voltage at
any point throughout the entire range of input acceleration or rates
other than from a zero input acceleration or rate.
6.3.10 Sensitivity threshold. The smallest input acceleration or
rate that is required to produce an initial change in output voltage
(starting from zero acceleration or rate).
6.4 Preparation for delivery criteria. Criteria for use of the proper
level of preservation, packaging, and packing shall be as follows:
6.4.1 Level A. This level shall be used for those items which are to
be shipped to intermediate destinations or stored under indeterminate con-
ditions for redistribution anywhere.
6.4.2 Level B. Not applicable.
6.4.3 Level C. This level shall be used only when it is definitely
known that the packaged item is to be shipped to domestic installations
for immediate use at the first receiving activity.
