4.5.5  Air pressure test.  The projectile shall be placed in
an approved fixture and air applied to produce a specified
pressure.  Observations shall be made for a drop in pressure
indicating a leak.  This is a non-destructive test.  Parts so
tested may be returned to the lot.
4.5.6 Push test of rotating band.  The body assembly shall be
placed in an approved fixture and the force specified on the
applicable drawing shall be applied.  Observation shall be made
for compliance with the applicable requirement.  This is a
non-destructive test.  Parts so tested may be returned to the lot.
4.5.7 Probe inspection.  This inspection shall be performed
using automatic inspection equipment designed by the contractor
and approved by the Government.  See MIL-A-48078.
PACKAGING
5.
5.1
Preservation and packing.
5.2  Unitization.  Unitization shall be prescribed by the
procuring agency as specified in the contract or order.
5.3  Shipping.  When shipments of more than one lot are made
at one time, such as in a carload, each lot shall be kept separate
and the division between lots clearly indicated to prevent mixing
of the lots in transit.

6.1  Intended use.  This specification covers the metal parts,
loading, assembling and packaging for test vehicle projectile for
use in lot acceptance tests for escapement assembly.

6.2.
6.3.  Submission of inspection equipment designs for
approval.  See MIL-A-48078.  Submit equipment designs as required
to Commander, US Army ARDEC, AMSMC-QAF-I (D), Picatinny Arsenal,
NJ, 07806-5000.  Request letter of submittal state contractor,
contract number, specification number, item nomenclature and
classification of defects or test paragraph.  This address will be
specified on the Contract Data Requirements List, DD Form 1423 in
the contract.  Unless otherwise specified, data item DI-R-1714
will apply.
6.4 Submission of results of contractor conducted
examinations and tests.  Unless otherwise specified by the
Contracting Officer, the contractor shall forward requested
records of examination or tests to Commander, US Army ARDEC,
Attn:  AMSMC-QAF-S (D), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000.
