4.4 Quality Conformance Inspection.
4 . 4 . 1 I n s p e c t i o n l o t f o r m a t i o n . I n s p e c t i o n lots shall comply
w i t h the lot formation provisions of
MIL-A-48078 and MIL-W-13855.
I n a d d i t i o n , i n s p e c t i o n lots shall not exceed 500,000 links.
4 . 4 . 1 . 1 H e a t t r e a t l o t . T h e heat treat lot shall be limited
t o one heat of steel and shall consist of links heat treated in a
b a t c h type furnace at one change or in a continuous type of
f u r n a c e during an uninterrupted period extending over not more
t h a n one ten hour period.
4.4.2 E x a m i n a t i o n .

a. Sampling plans. U n l e s s otherwise specified in the
C l a s s i f i c a t i o n of Defects and Test Tables, sampling plans and
p r o c e d u r e s for major and minor defects shall be in accordance with
M I L - S T D - 1 0 5 , Inspection Level II.
