4.4.2 Examination.
4.4.2.1 Parts and packaging.
4.4.2.1.1 Component parts and concurrent repair parts. Examination
of parts shall be performed as specified herein and in accordance with
the criteria specified in the contract (see 6.1). The contractors exam-
ination of parts shall be accomplished prior to their assembly into the
launcher or submission for acceptance as repair parts.
4.4.2.1.2 Packaging. Examination of packaging of launchers shall
be performed in accordance with 4.4.2.1.2.1 (see 6.1). Examination for
packaging defects specified in 4.4.2.1.2.1 shall apply to each item of
the applicable sample of launchers, interior packages, or exterior con-
tainers, as applicable. Sample size shall be in accordance with MIL-STD
105 using inspection level I. Examination of packaging of repair parts
shall be performed in accordance with the criteria specified in the con-
tract (see 6.1).
4.4.2.1.2.1 Packaging. Unless otherwise specified in each listed
defect, the packaging requirements are specified on Packaging Data Sheet
P8426167.
