4.5 First article sample. A first article sample of three Logic
Assemblies, manufactured in accordance with 3.3, shall be subjected to first
article tests specified in table VIII, in the listed sequence, at an activity
designated by the contracting activity. Acceptance of the first article
sample shall be based on no defects in the sample. Further production of the
Logic Assembly by the contractor, prior to approval of the first article
sample, shall be at contractor's risk.

First article test schedule.
4.5.1 First article test equipment. The following items of test
equipment are required to perform first article tests specified herein:
a.
Vibration table that can vibrate the Logic Assembly, plus
fixture weight at 3 gravitational acceleration units (g's)
maximum over a frequency range of 5 to 500 Hz with a maximum
double amplitude of 0.2 inch.
b.
A shock testing machine that can apply shocks of up to 300 g's
maximum at durations from 0.5 to 20 milliseconds.
c.
A temperature chamber that can program temperature variations
over a range of -45 to
