performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless dis-
approved by the Government, The Government reserves the right to perform
any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections
are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed
requirements .
4.1.1
Quality program. The contractor shall provide and
maintain an quality program in accordance with MIL-Q-9858.
4.1.1.:
Test equipment and inspection facilities, The
contractor shall insure that test and inspection facilities of sufficient
accuracy, quality and quantity are established and maintained to permit
performance of required inspections.
4.1.2
Component and material inspection. The contractor
shall be responsible for assuring that components and materials used are
manufactured, examined, and tested in accordance with the requirements
of referenced specifications and standards.
4.2
Classification of inspections.
The inspections
specified herein. are classified as follows:
a.
First article inspection (see 4.4).
b.
Quality conformance inspection (see 4.5).
c.
Inspection comparison (see 4.6).
4.3
Inspection of packaging. The sampling and inspection
of the preservation, packaging, packing and container markings shall be
in accordance with the requirements of section 5,
4.4
First article inspection, The loader shall be
subjected to the tests marked "X" listed in the first article test column
of table I and examined for the defects marked "X" listed in the first
,.
article test column of table 11, Acceptance of the first article sample
loader shall not exclude the remaining loaders from the quality conformance
inspection and acceptance provisions specified in 4,5,
4.4.1
First article inspection conditions. Before first
article inspection testing, the following shall be performed:
a.
Examine the loader for defects.
Service the loader with oils, grease, and fuel
b.
specified herein and designated for use in the
ambient temperatures at which the tests will be
conducted,
c,
Precondition the loader in accordance with
MIL-STD-781, paragraph 5.1,9. Precondition
duration and procedures shall be included as
part of the schedule of maintenance d. below.
