3. REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Description. - The Mine Case Mark 25 Mod 1 is an elongated
steel cylindrical weldment, one end of which is closed by an angular
nose piece, referred to generally as a spoiler, which serves to reduce
the diving tendency of the mine when entering the water, The other end
of the cylinder is tapered to terminate in an extending flange, to which
is secured in service a parachute pack or tail fin, as the case may be,
depending upon the intended method of launching, The case is separated
generally into two compartments, a charge compartment and a mechanism
