5.1.2 Level B.  The fuel tank module shall be preserved and
packaged in accordance with the applicable procedures of MIL-P-116
and MIL-STD-794.
5.1.3  Industrial.  The fuel tank module shall be preserved and
packaged in accordance with ASTM D3951-82.
5.2  Packing.  Packing shall be level A, B, or industrial as
specified (see 6.2) .
5.2.1 Level A.  The fuel tank module shall be packed in accord-
ance with the applicable procedures of MIL-STD-794.
5.2.2 Level B.  The fuel tank module shall be packed in accord-
ance with the applicable procedures of MIL-STD-794.
5.2.3  Industrial.  The fuel tank module shall be packed in
accordance with ASTM D3951-82.
In addition to any special marking required by the

contract or purchase order, shipping containers shall be marked in
accordance with MIL-STD-129.

NOTES
6.1 Intended use.  The fuel tank modules are intended to be used for
transport and storage of fuel for support of combat equipment in
the field in conjunction with fuel tank module.  The fuel tank
module is a component of the SIXCON, a six-module unit which con-
sists of five fuel or water tank modules and one fuel or water pump
module.
The six modules attach together to form an ISO/ANSI con-
figured 8-foot by 8-foot by 20-foot module which can be helolifted
or transported aboard trucks.
It is also suitable for use aboard
container ships.
6.2
Ordering data.
6.2.1  Acquisition  requirements.
Acquisition requirements should
specify the following:
(a)
Title, number, and date of this specification.
(b)
When first article is not required (see 3.1).
(c)
Color required (see 3.8).
(d)
Levels of preservation, packaging, and packing (see
5.1 and 5.2).
6.2.2 Data requirements.  When this specification is used in an
acquisition which incorporates a Contract Data Requirements List
(CDRL) (DD Form 1423), the data requirements identified below shall
be developed as specified by an approved Data Item Description (DD
Form 1664) and delivered in accordance with the approved CDRL
