4.5.5 Mine functioning.  The mines shall be functioned against

CAUTION:

support in such a manner that a pull on the lanyard will entirely
remove the safety pin before any tension is placed on that portion
of the lanyard which is connected to the safety support.

enable the pin to slide easily out of the pin hole.  Actuate the
fuze by tilting the fuze extension rod.  For information only, the
load required to function the fuze is 5 1/4 plus or minus 1 1/2
pounds when activating the fuze by tilting the extension rod at the
extreme end.  Observation shall be made for Satisfactory functioning
as indicated by a typical penetration as shown on figures 1 and 2.

PACKAGING
5.
5.1 Packing.
5.1.1  Level A.
Packing for Mine, AT, M21, with booster
assembly, M120, and fuze, mine combination, M607, shall be in
accordance with Dwg. 8830860.
5.1.2 Level B.
Packing shall be as specified in 5.1.1.
5.1.3
Level C.
Packing shall be as specified in 5.1.1.
5.2 Marking.
Marking shall be in accordance with Dwg. 8830860.
When mines from more than one lot are shipped at
