4.9 Examinations. The material shall be visually examined to ensure
conformance to the workmanship requirement specified in 3.5.
5. PACKAGING
5.1 Preservation, packing, and marking. Level C Packaging (see 6.2).
5.1.2 Level C. Preservation, packing, and marking shall be in accordance with
MIL-STD-1190. Additional marking shall include, but not be limited to the following:
a.
Lot or batch number.
b.
Date of manufacture.
c.
Type.
d.
Width and yardage.
6. NOTES
(This section contains information of a general or explanatory nature that may
be helpful, but is not mandatory.)
6.1 Intended use. This material is intended for use as a compression molding
material for high strength reinforced plastic components.
6.2 Acquisition requirements. Acquisition documents must specify the
following:
a.
Title, number, and date of the specification.
b.
Type required (see 1.2 and 5.1.2).
c.
Issue of DODISS to be cited in the solicitation, and if required, the
specific issue of individual documents referenced (see 2.1.1).
d.
When first article is required (see 3.1 and 4.4).
e.
First article sample size (see 4.4).
f.
Quantity and roll size (see 5.1.2).
g.
Width (see table I and 5.1.2).
h.
Requirement for certification of storage life (see 3.2.5).
