5.
PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY
5.1 Preservation, packaging and packing
5 .1.1 Packaging.  The device shall be packaged in accordance
with Level C of MIL-M-55565.
5.1.2 Packing.  The device shall be packed in accordance with
Level C of MIL-M-55565.
5.1.3 Marking.  The packed components shall be marked in
accordance with the requirements of MIL-STD-1188.
5.1,4 Shipping.  When devices from more than one lot are
shipped together, each lot shall be kept separate, and the divisions
between lots clearly indicated to prevent mixing of lots in
transit.  Electrostatic discharge protection in accordance with the
requirements of MIL-M-55565 shall be provided.
6.
NOTES
6.1 Intended use.  The devices covered by this specification
are intended for single-use, non-repairable, military items.
6.2 ordering data.
The procurement document shall specify the
following:
a.
Title, number and date of this specification.
b.
Provisions for submission of first article samples.
c.
Quantity required and delivery schedules.
d.  First article inspection, and quality conformance
inspection and packaging requirements , if other than as specified in
this specification.
e.
Certificates of conformance for each lot or shipment of
product.
6.3 Contract data requirements
a.  Contract data requirements for inspection equipment
designs shall conform to data item description DI-E-1118 or
DI-R-1714 with the appropriate addendum to each.
b.
Lot traveler cards shall be submitted.
