MIL-N-81207A(AS)
3.4.5
Transmitter Spe ctrum - In both the search and
track conditions, 94% of the transmitted energy shall be contained
within a 500 KHz band centered on the nominal-frequency of the
assigned channel.  All lobes 1 MHz or greater from the center
frequency of the spectrum shall be at least 45 dB below the peak
power output.
3.4.6
Effect of Transmitter Power on Other Functions
Under no circumstances shall the equipment lock on to its own
transmission.  No degradation of any of the other functions of the
equipment shall occur as a result of its own transmissions.
3.4.7
Traffic Capacity in A/A Mode - With the
equipment operating in the A/A mode on a given channel, it shall
be possible to transpond effectively to each of five interrogating
aircraft when their equipments are set 63 channels from the given
channel and when their signal strength at the antenna input
connector of the equipment specified herein are within 12 to 15 dB
of each other when the level of the weakest signal is any value
from -90 dBm to -12 dBm.  The equipment specified herein shall
interrogate and lock-on to one of the five, but it shall not be
required to determine the one to which it iS locked-on. The
equipment shall not be damaged when subjected to any number of
interrogations.
3.4.8
Accuracy - All accuracies shall be realized
when the equipment  is properly loaded and the equipment is
operated under any of the service conditions, or reasonable
combination thereof, as specified in MIL-E-5400.
3.4.8.1
Distance Measurement Accuracy - The distance
measurement error of the equipment shall not exceed those of Table
II.
