4.8 P r e m i s s i o n T e s t i n g - No item, part or
complete
equipment shall be submitted by the contractor until it
has been
p r e v i o u s l y tested and inspected by the contractor and
found to
c o m p l y , to the best of his knowledge and belief, with
all appli-
cable requirements.
4 . 9 R e j e c t i o n a n d R e t e s t - Equipment which has been
r e j e c t e d may be reworked or have parts replaced to correct the
d e f e c t s and resubmitted for acceptance. Before resubmitting,
full particulars concerning previous rejection and the action taken
to correct the defects found in the original shall be furnished the
G o v e r n m e n t inspector.
5.
PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY
5 . 1 G e n e r a l - All major units and parts of the equipment
s h a l l be preserved, packaged, packed and marked for the level of
shipment specified in the contract or order in accordance with Spe-
c i f i c a t i o n s MIL-E-17555 and MIL-STD-794. In the event the equip-
m e n t is not covered in Specification MIL-E-17555, the method of
p r e s e r v a t i o n n for level A shall be determined in accordance with
the selection chart in Appendix D of MIL-STD-794.
