Appendix
The C-10421 Control-Indicator (C-I) shall be used in place of
the C-9863 C-I for this application. An amber indicator light is
provided for INS WARNING in the cockpit. Other functions remain the same.
Software - The system shall be programmed to perform the
30.2.2
following basic functions:
(1)
Navigation
(2)
Control Panel Interface
(3)
Display Interface
(4)
System Self Test and Fault Isolation
Operating Modes- The pure inertial (IN) solution shall be
30.3
deleted from the ASN-124 and shall be provided by the ARINC 561 INS.
The auxiliary inertial (XN) solution shall also be provided by the ARINC
561 INS. The ASN-124 system shall utilize velocity and position data
derived from the XN solution and supplied by the ARINC 561 INS. XN
shall be selectable in the ASN-124 for geographic or tactical navigation.
It shall not be possible to position update XN in the ASN-124. In dead-
reckoning (DR) modes, inertial heading shall be True Heading supplied by
the ARINC 561 INS.
Accuracy
30.4
Navigation-Display Set Accuracy - There shall be no require-
30.4.1
ment for IN/XN navigation accuracy for the ASN-124 in GEONAV or TACNAV.
Detail Requirements
30.5
Converter Signal Data, CV-3502/ASN-124 - The SDC shall meet
30.5,1
the requirements of 3.5.8 except as modified herein.
Function - With the IMU Interface SRA and the IMU Azimuth
30.5.1.1
Buffer SRA removed, the CV-3502 shall be interchangeable with the CT-3289.
Installation of the ARINC 561 INS Interface SRA'S shall be the only
change required for use with the ARINC 561 INS.
Inertial System Interface - The SDC shall receive serial
30.5.1.2
binary digital data from the INS. The data channel shall be in accordance
with ARINC 561. The following parameters shall be received from the
INS:
