3.2.15 Controllers. Motor controllers shall be in accordance with
MIL-C-2212 for ac and dc and shall have the characteristics as specified
(see 6.2.1).
3.2.16 Painting. External unmachined surfaces of ungalvanized ferrous
metal parts shall be thoroughly cleaned and coated with one coat of pretreat-
ment conforming DOD-P-15328 and one coat of zinc chromate primer conforming to
TT-P-645, followed by a finish coat of light gray equipment enamel conforming
to MIL-E-15090.
3.2.16.1 Painting of external surfaces of nonferrous parts of pumps will
not be required.
