4.6.2 Contractor prepared inspection and test procedures.
4.6.2.1  Descriptive list.  The contractor shall prepare a
descriptive list of inspection and test equipment required for
complete checkout of the hydraulic power supply and distribution box.
Primary characteristics of the test equipment shall be given, such as
input, output, range(s), accuracy, etc.
4.6.2.2  Inspection checklist.  The contractor shall prepare an
inspection check list of components, subassemblies and assemblies to
be inspected, cross referenced to applicable requirement drawings.
For each item listed, product characteristics to be inspected shall be
given.  As a minimum, examples of such characteristics to be inspected
are:
a.
Completeness of components.
Proper assembly (type and quantity of components).
b.
Application and type of protective finish.
Identity and installation of all controls, marking and
application of control plates schematics, etc.
Fastening devices (quantity, type, secureness).
e.
f.
Proper wiring, wiring connections, solder joints, lead
dress and routing.
Proper make-up and assembled length of leads and
g.
harnesses.
h.
Location of mounting brackets and holes in sub-
assemblies.
i.
Application of fungus treatment.
Physical characteristics of meters and controls (mounting
j.
dimensions, ranges, dial face, etc.).
Proper vendor part number identification for source and
k.
specification control drawing items.
Proper modifications shown on altered item drawings.
l.
Workmanship (reference, Requirement 9 of MIL-STD-454).
m.
n.
Soldering (reference, Requirement 5 of MIL-STD-454).
o.
Individual component dimensions and characteristics that
affect function of the power supply and
interchangeability of components.
Proper make-up and routing of hydraulic system tube and
p.
hose assemblies, lines and connections, proper assembly
of hydraulic components and controls.
4.6.2.3  Test procedures.  The contractor shall prepare detailed
test procedures to be used in conducting all tests specified herein.
Procedures shall include test methods, test equipment, test setups
with schematics, etc.  Individual component or bench testing shall be
performed on components to verify performance requirements contained
in dr awing notes-prior to final assembly.
Component per formance
requi rements such as el ectrical character istics, proof pressure,
tempe rature, etc. shall be substantiated by vendor certi fication or
test data, as applicable.  Components (e.g. switches, controls,
valves, etc.) requiring operation over specified ranges shall be
tested to verify operation at the specified min-max conditions.  The
