3.5.3 OutPut short circuit Protection.  With nominal primary
input voltage 24.0 + 1 Vdc applied, and with a short circuit (less
than 0.5 ohms) applied to each output voltage terminal for a minimum
of 30 seconds, the voltage shall return to the values listed in
Table I when the short circuit is removed.  It may be necessary to
turn the primary voltage off and on.
3.5.4 Regulation.  The line effect, load effect and temperature
effect regulation of each output in the power supply assembly shall
meet the requirements as delineated in the formulas below:
3.5.4.1 Line effect regulation.  With loads applied to produce
the nomninal load currents as specified in Table II, the power supply
output voltages shall not vary more than +0.5% when the primary
power source is varied from 18.1 + 0.1 Vdc to 29.9 + 0.1 Vdc.
3.5.4.2 Load effect regulation.  with primary power source at
24.0 + 1 Vdc, the power supply assembly output voltages shall not
vary more than +0.5% as the load currents are varied from the
minimum to the maximum values as specified in Table IX.
3.5.4.3 Temperature effect on regulation.  An additional +0.03%
per degree Celsius variation of the above values shall be permitted
for all tests conducted at other than ambient conditions.
3.5.5 Ripple voltage.  The ripple voltage for all outputs with
loads applied to produce the maximum load currents as specified in
Table II and minimum primary voltage of 18.1 + 0.1 Vdc applied,
shall not exceed 300 mV P-P, 25 mV RMS from +77 degrees F to +155
degrees F and 130 mV P-P, 40 mV RMS from +40 degrees F to +77
degrees F when measured with an oscilloscope which has a bandwidth
of 25 MHz and a true-RMS AC voltmeter.
3.6 Environmental Stress Screening (ESS).  ESS shall be
performed on each new power supply assembly produced and shall
consist of two non-operating screening procedures.  The power Supply
assembly shall meet the requirements of 3.4 and 3.5 at standard
ambient conditions after each procedure.
