MILITARY SPECIFICATION
PUMPS, CENTRIFUGAL, ELECTRIC-MOTOR-DRIVEN
(FOR WATER)
This specification is approved for use within the USA Belvoir Research,
Development and Engineer Center, Department of the Army, and is available
for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
SCOPE
1.
1.1 Scope. This specification covers close-coupled,
horizontally mounted, centrifugal water preps complete
accessories and connections.
Pumps shall be of the following
1.2 Classification.
specified (see 6.2):
Type I - Integral self-priming.
Class A - 200 gallons per minute (gpm) at 50-foot total head.
Straight centrifugal
Type II
25 gpm at 115-foot total head.
B
Class
750 gpm at 50-foot total head.
C
Class
70 gpm at 165-foot total head.
D
Class
E
125 gpm at 165-foot total head.
Class
F
250 gpm at 165-foot total head.
Class
500 gpm at 165-foot total head.
G
Class
