MILITARY SPECIFICATION
M44A1E1 AND M44HE1, 11834842
PERISCOPES, TANK:
This specification is approved for use by the U.S. Army Armament Research
and developnent Command and is available for use by all Departments and Agen-
cies of the Department of Defense.
1.
Scope
1.1 This specification covers the Performance requirements, related
quality assurance provisions and packaging data for the Periscopes: M44A1E1
and M44A2E1. The periscopes provide a unity-power viewing system and a nine
power passive (low light level) sighting system. The periscopes are equipped
with a reticle projector which projects the image of a reticle pattern into
the sighting system.

APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS
2.1 The following documents, of the issue in effect on date of invitation
for bids or request for proposals, form a part of this specification to the
extent specified herein.
