3.4.2 Parts Security .-The round shall not lose parts or
exhibit disassembly of components.
3.4.3 Premature Detonation. -The round shall not prematurely
detonate.
3.4.4 Time to First Motion. -The maximum time interval
from the instant of applying the firing current to the igniter
to the time the motor thrust overcomes the 200 lb. nominal re-
straint and the rocket commences to move shall be as follows:
Temperature C
Max. First Motion Time (Sec.)

3.4.5 Lateral Deflection. -The lateral deflection of each
sample round fired shall be measured at point of warhead impact
or functioning. Lateral deflection is the angle the rocket-
trajectory forms with the firing azimuth along a horizontal
plane. It is measured in roils with left deflection reported
as minus (-) and right deflection reported as plus (+). The
lot sample standard deviation shall not exceed thirty (30) mils
at each temperature.
3.4.6 Rocket Motor Burnout Parameters. -Each sample round
shall accelerate such that the true velocity and time (from time
of ignition, To) when rocket motor burnout occurs shall be
within the following limits:
Velocity (M/Sec)
Time (Sec)
Whd.
