PACKAGING
6.
Bomb rack preservation and packaging. Preservation and packaging shall be in accord-

ance with Level A, B or C as specified in MIL-STD-794, as specified in the contract, without the use of
preservation compound.
Packing. Shipping containers shall contain one each packaged bomb rack. The con-

tainer shall be suitable for Level A, B or C as specified in MIL-STD-794.
Unitized loading. Unitized loading for the bomb racks is authorized as specified in
5.3
MIL-STD-794.
Marking. All shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with the requirements

of MIL-STD-129 with the following information:

NOTES
Intended use. The bomb racks covered by this specification are intended for use in level

bombing and glide bombing. They are mounted either externally, as in an aircraft wing pylon, or
internally, as in a bomb bay. They are intended for use on either land-based or carrier-based aircraft.
Ordering data. Procurement documents shall specify the following:

Samples subjected to sampling inspection shall not be considered or accepted as part of the
