MIL-S-26547C
4.6.22.2  High temperature.  The high-temperature test shall be in accord-
ance with procedure I for a minimum of 8 hours.  At the end of this test the
starter-generator shall complete, without damage, three consecutive cycles in
accordance with Table III.  External cooling shall not be permitted during
this test.
4.6.22.3  Humidity.  The humidity test shall be in accordance with pro-
cedure I.  At the end of this test the starter-generator shall operate satis-
factorily as a generator at full-rated load for a period of 2 hours.
4.6.22.4  Vibration.  For resonance, the vibration test shall be in accord-
ance with procedure VII.  For endurance, the test shall be in accordance with
procedure VIII or XII, except the applied vibration as monitored on the test
fixture shall be reduced wherever necessary to prevent the vibratory accelera-
tion from exceeding -40 times standard gravity constant (where standard gravity
constant = g) at any point on the basic generator frame.  The resonant fre-
quency shall be not less than 200 cycles per second (cps).  Any mechanical
damage due to vibration tests shall be cause for rejection.
4.6.22.5  Fungus.
The fungus test shall be in accordance with procedure 1.
Immediately following this test, the starter-generator shall operate satis-
factorily as a generator at full-rated load for a period of 2 hours.
4.6.22.6  Explosion proof.  The explosion proof test shall be in accordance
with procedure I.  Any ignition of ambient explosive gaseous mixture shall be
cause for rejection.
4.6.22.7  Low-and high-temperature storage.  The starter-generator shall
be soaked for a period of 8 hours at -62C and 8 hours at
In each case,
the starter-generator shall be returned to room temperature and satisfactorily
operated as a generator at full load for 2 hours.
