MILITARY SPECIFICATION
SLING SYSTEM, HELICOPTER: EXTERNAL CARGO,
40,000 POUND CAPACITY
This specification is approved for use by U.S. Marine Corps,
Department of the Navy, and is available for use by all Departments
and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1.
SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers one type of adjustable
cargo sling system used for lifting equipment and cargo by heli-
copter.
The sling system shall be capable of supporting external
helicopter loads weighing up to 40,000 pounds.
