MILITARY SPECIFICATION
SEMITRAILERS, LOWBED: COMMERCIAL
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the
Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers commercial lowbed semitrailers. Each vehicle
procured under this specification is a commercial item which shall be warranted by the
manufacturer as specified in acquisition documents.
1.2 Classification. The semitrailer shall be one of the following types, classes, sizes, and
styles, as specified (see 6.2).
Type I

Level deck
Type II
-
Drop deck
Type III
-

Type IV
-
(see 6.4)
Type V
-
Level deck extended
