MILITARY SPECIFICATION
SEALS, SHAFT, MECHANICAL, LOW-PRESSURE TYPE,
SELF-LUBRICATING:
FOR GENERAL-PURPOSE CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS
This specification is approved for use within the USA Belvoir Research,
Development and Engineering Center, Department of the Army, and is available for
use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1.
SCOPE
This specification covers four types and 16 sizes of low-pressure,

self-lubricating, mechanical shaft seals, commonly used on centrifugal pumps.
