ment thereto.

f. Submission of the statement of treatment referenced in
3.14.4 as soon as possible after award of contract and before proceeding
with the work. This statement shall be submitted to the contracting offi-
cer.
When first article rough handling tests are not required

Acquisition Activity approval prior to production unit packaging.
6.2 First Article. When a first article is required, it shall be
tested and approved under the appropriate provisions of 7-104.55 of the
Armed Services Procurement Regulation. The first article should be a
preproduction sample. The first article should consist of one each
AN/ASM-146( ) and one each AN/ASM-147( ) units. The contracting officer
should include specific instructions in all procurement instruments,
regarding arrangements for examinations, test and approval of the first
article. (See 4.3 and 3.1)
6.3 Changes from previous issue. Asterisks are not used in this
revision to identify changes with respect to the previous issue, due to
the extensiveness of the changes.

6.4 Government-furnished property. The contracting officer should
arrange to furnish the property listed in 3.2.1.
