vehicle, by tracks, track pads and wheels, and any other non-evenly distributed loads indicated
by the full range of intended uses specified in 6.1.
3.4.2 Weight distribution. Load bearing members shall be rated for the loads imposed with
the frame in a horizontal position, and the payload evenly distributed over the load space. The
proportion of the gross weight of the loaded semitrailer to be supported on the axles and
suspension system, measured at the ground, shall be approximately equal to, but not more than,
34,000 pounds.
3.5 Dimensions and clearances. The semitrailer shall be a two-level type having a lower
main deck and a full width kickup (gooseneck) deck. The semitrailer shall conform to the
dimensions specified in table II while resting on the landing legs on level ground, uncoupled
from the towing vehicle, without payload. The term "lower deck" (see table II) is defined as the
lower main deck and the hydraulic ramp.

loads imposed. The outside frame members shall run the full length of the loadspace. The rear
crossmembers shall extend the full width of the semitrailer. When the semitrailer is loaded with
