REQUIREMENTS:
Dimensions and configuration: See figure 1. The switch actuator shall accommodate basic sensitive
switches M8805/1-008.
Enclosure design: 1 (unsealed).
Temperature characteristic: 1 (-55C to +85C).
Shock type: M (100 g's).
Sinusoidal vibration: 10 to 55 Hz in accordance with MIL-STD-202, method 201.
Weight: 0.15 pound maximum.
Operating characteristics:
Actuating force: 1.625 .625 pounds.
Pretravel: .035 inch maximum.
Overtravel: .188 inch minimum.
Full overtravel force: see table I.
Spring force: 2 pounds minimum.
Mechanical endurance: 50,000 cycles.
Qualification: The actuator shall be tested to the requirements of this specification sheet only with
M8805/1-008 switch installed.
Quality conformance:
Group A inspection: The materials and physical dimension requirements may be verified through in-
process controls and inspections.
Group B inspection: Not applicable.
