4.7.2.5 Illiumination. - Electrically connect a power source to the
panoramic telescope capable of producing the voltage specified and
energize the appropriate lamps and visually inspect to determine compliance
wiht 3.10.1 and 3.10.2. Rotation of the rheostat knob from the off
position shall increase intensity of illumination from dim to bright and
the projector light shall be visible within the limits outlined in 3.7.1.2.
4.7.2.6 Counter numbers. - By means of standard measuring equipment
determine digit alignment in accordance with 3.11.
4.7.2.7 Insulation resistance. - This test shall be performed as
outlined in Test Method 302 of MIL-STD-202, using test condition "A".
The test shall be made between insulated points and ground. Resistance
shall not be less than the value specified in 3.12.
4.7.2.8 Continuity. - Use standard shop type continuity checks in
conjunction with standard inspection techniques.
5. PREPARATION AND DELIVERY
5.1 Packaging, packing and markings. - Packaging, packing and marking
shall be in accordance with MIL-P-14232, P8626189. The level of protection
shall be as specified in the procurement document.
6. NOTES
6.1 Intended use. - The Panoramic Telescope: M113 when mounted on
Telescope Mount: M134, is primarily intended to lay the 105MM Howitzer
M102 in azimuth for indirect fire.
6.2 Ordering data. - Procurement documents should specify the following:
Title, number and date of this specification.
