MILITARY SPECIFICATION
TRUCK, WITH HIGH LIFT DUMP MECHANISM:
DUMP, CARGO AND STAKE BODY TYPES, DIESEL AND
GASOLINE ENGINE DRIVEN, 24,000 GVW, 4x2, COMMERCIAL
This specification is approved for use by the US Army Tank-Automotive
Command, Department of the Army, and is available for use by all
Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE.
1.1 Scope. This specification covers diesel and gasoline engine driven, four-wheel,
two-rear-wheel drive, commercial trucks with a high lift dump mechanism. The truck has a
minimum gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 24,000 pounds for normal operating conditions.
Vehicles procured under this specification are commercial items which shall be warranted by the
manufacturer as specified in procurement documents.

1.2 Classification. Vehicles shall be of the types shown in table I, as specified (see 6.2).
