Ambient
Functioning
3.5.1 The indicator lamp shall flash when an external load
(resistance) of 200 ohms is connected across the terminals of the
test set.
3.5.2 The lamp shall not flash when the external load across
the terminals is 300 ohms.
3.6  Energy  Output  Test. - A single actuation of the handle
shall produce an electrical output of 1.4 milliwatt-seconds maxi-
mum (max.) through a resistance of 2.5 ohms.
3.7  Drop  Test. - Test sets shall show no evidence of crack-
ing or separating,  and shall function in accordance with 3.5 after
dropping from a height of 5.0 feet at ambient temperature.
3.8  Workmanship.  - All parts and assemblies shall be fabri-
cated and finished in a thorough, workmanlike manner.

be free of burrs, chips, sharp edges, cracks, crazes, unblended
radii,  porosity, warpage, burn marks, checks, chipped edges, blis-
ters, excess flash, dirt, grease, rust, salt deposits, visible
raised cement seams, solder splash, corrosion products and other
defects and foreign matter which would affect their serviceability.
