APPENDIX
TEST METHOD NO. 32
PERFORMANCE (DURABILITY COURSE)

TEST COURSE:
A test course shall be constructed in accordance with figure A-
3.

TEST PROCEDURE:
a. Drive the forklift with rated load in carry position (see
6.10.3), over the test course. Average cycle speed over the
course shall be between 2.0 mph and 2.5 mph. For this test, the
engine governor setting may be changed or a throttle stop may be
used to maintain speed throughout the test. Negotiate the course
50 percent of the time in a clockwise direction and 50 percent
of the time in a counterclockwise direction. After each 100
hours. operate the sideshift at full speed with rated load on
the forks for 200 full-stroke cycles.
NOTES: Sideshift cycles may be operated in 20 cycle intervals to allow
sufficient cooling of the system. The hydraulic pump(s) inlet
temperature shall not exceed 220 F.
One cycle is defined as sideshifting from extreme left to
extreme right and return to extreme left.
The windows and doors may be removed from cab while conducting
this test.
