MILITARY SPECIFICATION
TRUCK TRACTOR: DIESEL ENGINE DRIVEN, 80,000 POUNDS GVW,
145,000 POUNDS GCW, 8X4, MODIFIED COMMERCIAL
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department
of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers a tilt cab, diesel engine driven, eight-wheel, four-wheel
drive truck tractor having a minimum gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 80,000 pounds and a
minimum gross combination weight (GCW) of 145,000 pounds, for normal operating conditions.
Vehicles procured under this specification are commercial items which are warranted by the
manufacturer as specified in acquisition documents.
