Instruments and controls shall be identified as to their function and
installed in a manner to facilitate removal and servicing,  Instruments
shall be panel mounted and shall be clearly visible to the driver when
seated in normal driving position.
3.4.19 Windshield cleaning grab handles. A handle shall be
furnished at each side of the windshield to provide a handhold for
windshield cleaning while standing on the bumper (see 3.4.15).
3.4.20 Accessories and equipment.  Chassis equipment shall be
complete with all accessories furnished as standard equipment by the

3.4.21 Rearview mirrors.  Outside rearview combination (flat and
convex) type mirrors shall be furnished.  Each combination mirror shall
have at least 50 square inches of flat reflective area and a convex
surface having at least 20 square inches of reflective area.  One mirror
shall be mounted on each side of the vehicle.  Mirrors shall be mounted
to permit maximum vision without obstruction and shall be visible on the
right through the passenger side cab window or the upper corner of the
windshield and on the left through the driver's window(s).  An inside
rearview mirror shall be provided.
3.4.22 Horn.  An electric horn shall be provided.  When specified
(see 6.2), in addition, an air operated horn shall be provided.
3.4.23 Automatic speed control.
When specified (see 6.2), a
control, capable of maintaining the speed of the vehicle at a constant
rate set by the operator, shall be furnished.  Provisions for engaging
and disengaging the control shall be located convenient to the driver.
The control shall automatically disengage upon application of the
brakes.
