3.7.16 Sound system installation.  The sound system's ceiling
mounted speakers shall be securely mounted and fitted, free of gaps,
openings , exposed electrical wiring or exposed insulation.

3.7.17 Exhaust fan installation.  Exhaust fans shall be securely
mounted and fitted, free of gaps, openings, exposed electrical wiring or
exposed insulation.  The installation shall be rainproof and waterproof.
The exterior sealant shall be uniform, neat in appearance and free of
bare or thin areas.  The exhaust fans shall operate without rattles,
undue noises or malfunctions.

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS

4.1 Responsibility for inspection.  Unless otherwise specified in
the contract, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all
inspection requirements as specified herein.  Except as otherwise
specified in  the  contract, the contractor may use his own or any other
facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements
specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government.  The Government
reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the
specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure
supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.
4.2 Government verification.  Quality assurance operations
performed by the contractor will be subject to Government verification
at unscheduled intervals.  Verification will consist of observation of
the operations to determine that practices, methods, and procedures of
the contractor's inspection are being properly applied.  Failure of the
contractor to promptly correct product deficiencies discovered shall be
cause for suspension of acceptance until correction has been made or
until conformance of product to specification criteria has been
demonstrated.

4.3 In-process water spray test.  To determine conformance to
3.5.2.1, 3.5.2.3 and 3.5.15, each vehicle produced under the contract,
shall be subjected to a water spray test.  The water spray test shall be
performed prior to installation of interior paneling and insulation.
The vehicle shall be exposed to a 100 percent water spray for not less
than 15 minutes.  The spray shall be delivered by nozzles operating at
not less than 25 pounds per square inch (psi) water pressure. The
nozzles shall be sufficient in number and placed approximately 4 feet
from the body to afford full coverage of sides, roof, front, rear and
undercarriage of the body.  The spray shall be applied simultaneously or
section by section.  All doors and windows shall be closed as in normal
travel position.  During the water spray test, all windows and paneling
