connection with specific acquisition functions should be obtained from the acquisitioning activity
or as directed by the contracting officer.)
2.2 Order of precedence. In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and
the references cited herein, the text of this specification shall take precedence.
3. REQUIREMENTS
3.1 First article (initial production). Trainers to be furnished under this specification shall be
represented by samples taken from initial production after award of contract. Samples shall be
produced using tools and equipment that shall be used for manufacturing in quantity. Samples
shall withstand initial production inspection specified herein (see 6.3).
3.2 Materials. Materials shall be as specified herein and in referenced specifications,
standards and drawings. Material shall be free from defects which adversely affect performance
or serviceability of the finished product (see 6.5).
3.3 Design and construction. Unless otherwise specified herein, trainer design and
construction shall conform to Drawing 12277801, to drawings listed in table I, and to such other
drawings, specifications, and standards as may be applicable. Parts with same part number shall
be interchangeable as to fit, form, and function. Electronic parts and assemblies shall be
interchangeable in accordance with requirement 7, MIL-STD-454.
