MILITARY SPECIFICATION
TRUCKS, WRECKER: 4540 TO 40 820 KILOGRAMS
(5-TON TO 45-TON) LIFTING CAPACITY,
MODIFIED COMMERCIAL
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department
of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers all commercial, non-tactical wreckers procured for
military use. Vehicles procured under this specification are commercial items which are
warranted by the manufacturer as specified in acquisition documents.
1.2 Vehicle classification. The vehicle shall be one of the types, classes, sizes and models
shown in table I, as specified (see 6.2):
