MIL-T-81333A(OS)
temperature and barometric pressure shall be simutaneously recoded and the internal air pressure corrected
for any change between the ambient temperature and barometric pressure at the end of the test and the ambient
temperature pressure at the beginning of the test and at intervals of not less than 8 hours for the duration thereof,
each external knob and and energent shaft shall be operated at least one turn in each direction or if restricted to less
than one turn, to the limit in each direction for at least one complete cycle.
4.5.5.4.1 Corrected and interpolated internal pressure. A check shall be made to determine that the corrected
final internal air pressure is not less than the interpolated internal air pressure computed on the basis of 1 psi
loss in 72 hours The interpolated air pressure shall be computed from the formula.
Where:
Pt=interpolated pressure in psi at time t
PO = Initial pressure in psi
e= Base of natural logarithrns
t = Times in hours between initial and final readings of internal air pressure in psi.
4.5.5.5 Static loading. The telescope shall be subjected to a static load test to determine that the instrument
will withstand static loading of 1,000 pounds per square inch in all directions.
