preproduction samples to pass any of the required tests or examinations shall be
cause for rejection of the samples.
4.2.2 Quality Conformance Inspections - Each test set submitted for acceptance
under the contract or ordez shall be submitted to the tests and inspections in the
order specified in table 1. Failure of any test set to pass any of the required
tests or examinations shall be cause for rejection of that test set.
4.2.3 Periodic Production Inspections - The periodic production sample
selected in accordance with 4.2.2 shall be subjected to the tests and examinations
in the order specified in table 1.

4.3 Sampling -
4.3.1 Preproduction Sample - A preproduction sample of three test sets manu-
factured in accordance with 3.1 shall be subjected to the preproduction tests
detailed in 4.2,1 at an activity designated by the procuring activity. Acceptance
of the preproduction sample shall be based on no defects in the sample. Further
production of the equipment by the supplier, prior to the approval of the preproduc-
tion sample, shall be at the supplier's risk,
4.3.2 Periodic Production Sampling - Periodic production samples shall be
selected from units that have satisfactorily passed the quality conformance inspec-
tions of 4.2.2. These samples shall be subjected to the tests of 4.2.3 at an
activity designated by the procuring activity. Periodic production sampling shall
