The dimensions of the test set shall be not greater
3.4.1 Dimensions.

3.4.2 Total weight.  Total weight of test set shall be not greater than
25 pounds (11.4 k ilograms).
3.4.3 Reliability.
3.4.3.1.  Operational stability.  The test set shall meet the performance
requirements of  his specification when operated continuously or
intermittently for a period of at least 150 hours without the necessity for
readjustment of any controls which are inaccessible to the operator during
normal use.
3.4.3.2 Operating life.  The test set shall have a minimum total
operating life of 1,000 hours with minimal servicing and replacement of parts.
3.4.3.3 Reliability in Mean-time-Between-Failure (MTBF). The test set
shall have a minimum of 150 hours of mean (operating)  time between failures
when tested and accepted as specified in 4.5.3.
3.4.4 Maintainability.  Maintainability Provisions shall be incorporated
within the design to provide for service, access and repair of all assemblies.
Normal routine testing, troubleshooting, `alignment and calibrating of the test
set shall be accomplished using standard test equipment normally available in
Intermediate Maintenance Shops.
3.4.5 Transportability.  The test set shall be transportable by air,
rail, truck and ship when mounted in a shipping container as specified in
Section 5.
3.4.6 Nameplates and identification marking. Serial number assignment,
nameplate approval, and Identification marking shall be in accordance with
MIL-N-18307.
3.4.6.1 Identification plates.  Identification plates for the test set
shall in accordance with DL 410AS200.
3.4.6.2 Decals, nameplates and markings locations. All decals,
nameplates, and markings shall be affixed to the equipment in accordance with
DL 41OAS2OO and all referenced marking specifications, documents, and drawings
therein.
