3.5.21.2 TSCD indicators. The front panel of the TSCD shall provide illuminating
indicators. The targeting head status indicators shall prompt the operator as to the status of the
targeting head. Interrupt indicators shall be provided to inform of interrupted turret motion and
laser fire. Fault indicators shall alert the operator that either built-in-test (BIT) has detected a
fault in the TSCD, North Seeking Gyrocompass (NSG) or G/VLLD or their interfaces, or that the
vehicle or equipment battery is low. NSG and G/VLLD indicators shall display the status of
their respective equipment (see table III) (see 4.6.4.20.2).
3.5.21.3 System test. The test key shall provide a menu to initiate the system-test, examine
the current and accumulated BIT status error codes, clear any present faults and observe the NSG
mode and self-test status. The TSCD shall display BIT status by means of three alphanumeric
error codes; a TSCD error code, a G/VLLD error code and a NSG error code (see 4.6.4.20.3).
