Ram Operation. Afger actuation, the distance between the
4.4.4.15
end of the ram and a plane which coincides with the surface of the valve
body end face shall not exceed 0.500 inches. To perform this measure-
ment, remove the hex end stop located at the end of the valve. The
ram shall completely sever the integral metal diaphragm permitting
full flow through the valve.
Leakage at operating presure, normally closed outlet port,

after firing. With the squib remaining in the valve body after firing,
the valve shall be subjected to a pressure of 4500 200 psig using
dry inert gas. Pressure shall be applied to the normally closed outlet
port for a period of 5 minutes with the valve submerged in water. There
shall be no evidence of leakage. The pressure shall be released and the
valve inspected for evidence of permanent distortion.

shall be subjected to a pressure of 4500 200 psig, using dry inert gas.
Pressure shall be applied to the inlet and to both outlet ports for a
period of 5 minutes with the valve submerged in water. There shall be
no evidence of leakage. The pressure shall be released and the valve
inspected for evidence of permanent distortion.
