MILITARY SPECIFICATION

WARHEAD, 2.75 INCH ROCKET, HE, M229

WITH OR WITHOUT FUZE, LOADING ASSEMBLING AND PACKING

This amendment forms a part of Military Specification MIL-W-

50991 (AR), dated 14 June 1972, and is approved for use by

the US Army Armament, Munitions, and Chemical Command, and is

available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the

Department of Defense.

At end of paragraph: Add

"Chipped or broken explosive from faced surface of Comp B-4,

shall not be cause for rejection provided the sum of the areas

of the chipped or broken is not greater than 50 percent of the

faced surface, and no individual point extends more than 1/4

inch below the maximum distance to charge permitted by

drawing.".
